Life Wheel assessment: see your life at a glance
Rate eight areas of your life from 1 (not at all satisfied) to 10 (fully satisfied). Your wheel shows where life feels full and where it feels thin, so you can pick one area to work on first. It takes about three minutes, and nothing you enter leaves your device.
Score your Life Wheel
Move each slider to how satisfied you feel in that area today. Your wheel updates as you go.
Track it over time in LouryxHow to take the Life Wheel
- Score how it feels, not how it looks. A 6 for career means you feel about 60% satisfied, whatever your job title.
- Go with your first answer. Thirty seconds per area is plenty.
- Look at the shape. A small, round wheel and a big, lopsided one call for different next steps.
- Pick one area. Usually the one where a small improvement would make the biggest difference to your week, not always the lowest score.
The eight areas
- Health: sleep, movement, food, energy.
- Career: work, study, or how you spend your days.
- Money: how secure and in control you feel.
- Relationships: partner, family and friends.
- Growth: learning, skills, becoming who you want to be.
- Fun: play, hobbies, rest that's actually restful.
- Home: where you live and how it feels to be there.
- Mind: calm, mood, inner life, meaning.
The Wheel of Life is a long-standing coaching exercise, often credited to Paul J. Meyer. Versions use different areas; these eight match the life areas in Louryx.
Reading your wheel
- Low and even: life may feel flat or tired overall. Start with health or rest; they lift everything else.
- High and even: things are in balance. Pick the area you'd most like to grow, not fix.
- Lopsided: one or two areas are carrying the rest. Look at the lowest area and ask what a one-point improvement would look like.
Then turn that one-point improvement into a goal with a first step. How to break down goals shows how.
Questions to ask about each area
If a score surprises you, these questions help find what's behind it, and what a one-point improvement could be.
| Area | Ask yourself |
|---|---|
| Health | Am I sleeping enough? When did I last move in a way I enjoyed? |
| Career | Do my days use what I'm good at? What drains me most at work? |
| Money | Do I know where my money goes each month? Do I have a buffer? |
| Relationships | Who do I miss? Who leaves me feeling better after we talk? |
| Growth | What have I learned this year? What would I like to be able to do? |
| Fun | When did I last lose track of time doing something I love? |
| Home | Is there one corner of my home that bothers me every day? |
| Mind | How often do I feel calm? What helps when I don't? |
Write down one honest answer per low area. Often the fix is smaller than the score suggests: a weekly call with a friend, one tidy shelf, a bedtime alarm.
Retake it every month or two
Your scores will move with seasons, stress and good news. Comparing wheels over time shows whether the changes you're making are working. Louryx saves each Life Wheel check-in in your account and draws the previous one as a dashed outline, so you can see what changed. Your goals use the same eight areas.
Questions
What's a good score on the Life Wheel?
There isn't one. It's a picture of how you feel right now, not a test. The useful part is noticing which areas you'd like to change.
How often should I do a Life Wheel?
Every one to three months, or whenever life changes a lot. Keep your old wheels to compare.
