The paper strip method
You don't need a ring sizer. You need a strip of paper and a ruler.
- Cut a strip of paper about 5 mm wide.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger — snug enough that it would need a small push over the knuckle.
- Mark where the paper overlaps, unwrap it, and measure the length in millimetres.
- That length is your circumference. Find it in the table below.
Two rules that matter more than the measurement: measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one. A ring that's slightly loose is wearable. One that's slightly tight is not.

Measure snugly around the wrist or ankle, then add roughly 1.5–2 cm for a comfortable drape.
Sizing questions
I'm between two ring sizes — which do I take?
The larger one. Fingers swell with heat, salt and exercise, and a ring that only fits in the morning gets worn less. Wide bands also feel tighter than thin ones, so size up if the band is over 6 mm.
Does my ring size change?
Yes, by up to half a size across a day and more across a year. Heat, salt, exercise, flights, pregnancy and temperature all move it. Measure warm and rested rather than cold and first thing.
What necklace length should I buy as a gift?
40–42 cm (16") is the safest choice — it sits at the collarbone and suits nearly every neckline. If they already wear one necklace daily, a 45–47 cm piece layers under it without tangling.
Can Louryx pieces be resized?
Stainless steel can't be resized the way solid gold can — the plating won't survive the work. That's why we'd rather you measured twice, and why exchanges within 30 days on unworn pieces are straightforward.
